Test Description:
Aneuvysion is available to detect numerical abnormalities of chromosomes 13, 18, 21, X and Y via a fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH)-based assay of prenatal specimens. The analysis allows for a rapid, preliminary result while the final cytogenetic analysis is pending. Aneuvysion does not rule out all chromosome abnormalities.
Specimen Requirements:
Draw an additional 5 ml of amniotic fluid. Other specimens can also be tested. Please contact the laboratory at (517) 353-2032 or 1-877-TEST-DNA for more information regarding specimen requirements for non-amniotic fluid samples.
