Biography

Biography:

Where is your hometown?

Montague, MI.

Where did you attend medical school?

Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine

Why did you choose the MSU/Sparrow Pediatric Residency Program?

I chose Sparrow for the supportive learning environment and friendly residents and attendings! I feel our program has a really wide range of pathologies and great opportunities to explore subspecialties and general pediatrics alike. I also get to be closer to family here so that’s an added bonus!

What do you like most about living in Michigan?

I have LOVED living in Michigan my whole life, and the best part are the summer days spent on a lake with friends.

What do you like most about living in Lansing?

I like living in Lansing because it’s a good mix of city-feel when you’re closer to the hospital and college campus-feel with the ability to go to MSU for college sports games and take walks along the Red Cedar river.

What are your hobbies?

Playing with my two dogs, longboarding, baking, and reading.

What are your career goals?

I’m still trying to decide if one subspecialty stands out amongst the others. Right now I love emergency medicine, GI, inpatient medicine, and our general peds clinic- so it makes it hard to choose!
